42 Consultation

This chapter was revealed in sequence after the previous one on [Signs] Spelled
Out 41 d before the next, Luxury 43. It consists of five sections of 53 late
Meccan except for VV. 23-24 and V. which are all in section III, and date
from Madina.
The consultation referred to in V. 38 IV(c) gives us a basis for democratic
action which is often quoted even though it is not a full guide for parliamentary
procedure God's attributes (I) should become clear to those who associate others
