And for the sake of the verses, and wise recitation, raise our status and accept our recitation.
And forgive us for any mistakes in the recitation of the Qur’an.
Or anything forgotten {to recite}
Or {reciting} a word forbidden; or a passage; or a word before; or a word after; or {reciting} incomplete;
Or in its interpretation, different from the way You Revealed it.
Or {having recited} it with doubts; or mistakes; or with an improper chant;
Or making haste while reciting the Qur’an; or being lazy in its recitation; or with speed;
Or if my tongue swayed; or stopped where it should not;
Or joined words where one should not; or expressed {words} without clarity.
Or in wrong elongation; or in wrong stressing; or in pronouncing the ‘hamza’;
Or in pronouncing the final consonant; or in reciting the vowels where not shown.
Or with little longing or awe when reciting the verses relating to Blessings and Punishment
O Allah! Forgive us and write down our names among those who bear witness to the Truth
O Allah! Illuminate my heart with Qur’an
And beautify my character with the Qur’an
And save us from the Hell-fire for the sake of Qur’an
And make us enter Jannah for the sake of Qur’an
O Allah! Connect us with the Qur’an in this world
And in the grave, make it our companion
And on the path, a light
And in the Heaven, a friend
And in the Hell-fire, a veil and a barrier
And in all good deeds, an argument, written for us completely.
And Bless us its recital with our tongues and hearts,
And better love and happiness; and good news with everlasting faith.
And Blessings of Allah be upon the Best Creation,
Muhammed; the Kind Manifestation and Light of His Throne,
Our Chief Muhammed and his progeny and his companions collectively,
and send abundant Blessings upon them all.
O Allah, accept our action in reciting the Qur’an and send its reward to all the Muslims – male and female.
O Allah, include us all among those who will receive ample reward for the recitation of this Qur’an.
Ameen.
