Al-Mu`îd: The Restorer

"Verily He it is Who creates everything from the beginning and causes it to return" (85:13).

The meaning of Allah's qualities of the Beginner, the Restorer is to bring another into being. When this bringing into being has no precedent in terms of an act similar to it, it is called a beginning. If there is a precedent in terms of an act similar to it, it is called a restoration (Mu`îd). Allah began the creation of people. Allah is also the one who restores them. All things first originated from Allah and are restored to Allah.
